A ground-breaking study has revealed that cover cropping can increase crop yields, boost soil health and bring about a range of environmental benefits.
Nine new first-choice varieties have been added to the British Society of Plant Breeder’s 2017 Forage Maize Descriptive Lists (DL), alongside 14 new varieties on the Forage Maize for Anaerobic Digestion DLs.

UK crop research organisation NIAB has appointed Steven Tompkins in a new role of Business Development Manager and Emily Borton as a trainee regional agronomist for the south of England, effective immediately.
Steven will be responsible for securing new commercial and research funding, promoting the organisation’s role as a leading provider of innovative agricultural research and technical services in the UK.
